It is especially worth noting that this exhibition, held every two years, is considered to be one of the largest places where trade agreements in food industry are reached, also to be one of the best locations to improve and develop one’s business; therefore, it is no coincidence that the place is becoming the centre of attraction for both Parisians and visitors.

This year over 155,000 visitors from 194 countries attended the food exhibition SIAL Paris 2016. As for the number of participants, it is also amazing – 7,000 people from 105 countries and regions all over the world. The participants have presented their products in 8 halls of an exhibition center Paris-Nord Villepinte, which covers an area of 100,000 square metres.

Many conferences and round table discussions took place during the exhibition SIAL Paris 2016 the purpose of which was to introduce the most modern trends and achievements in food industry to the participants as well as visitors of the exhibition.

In addition to this, tasting events of food products were organised at the exhibition, and one Lithuanian product, made by a Samogitian company, was highly appreciated – it was DŽIUGAS the hard cheese, which had been top-rated in many different countries before.

Exhibition participants were surprised at an unusual combination of DŽIUGAS cheese and honey; however, once they tried it they praised this harmony between the taste of slightly piquant cheese and natural Lithuanian honey. It is extremely pleasing that DŽIUGAS hard cheese became the focus of attention at the exhibition.

A very honourable guest visited the Lithuanian stand – Dalius Čekuolis, the ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of France, with the delegation. The ambassador was glad to see Lithuanian companies participating there, especially Žemaitijos pienas, an experienced exhibitor of such events. According to the ambassador, this fact only proves that one of the most effective ways to find new business partners is to take part in professional exhibitions.

The five-day exhibition enabled the representatives of Žemaitijos pienas to meet existing and also potential clients from different countries – Japan, the United States of America, Israel, India, China, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, France, England, South Korea, Belgium, Sweden and others.

Furthermore, they have visited stands of other companies, shown interest in innovations and popular trends, come back home full of new ideas and new contacts to continue successfully with their work on developing the sales of Žemaitijos pienas production in foreign markets.
